🚲 Our Story: Transforming European Urban Mobility Since 2013
Founded in 2013, Aipas began with a straightforward mission: to make high-quality, reliable electric mobility accessible to everyday riders across the European continent. In the early 2010s, European electric bicycles were often divided into two extremes: prohibitively expensive luxury models sold through exclusive retail boutiques with four-digit dealer markups, or poorly manufactured budget imports lacking standardized European safety certifications and local technical support.
We recognized that European commuters, touring cyclists, and senior riders needed a better alternative: electric bicycles built on hydroformed aluminium frames with branded drivetrain components, certified to the harmonized European safety standard (EN 15194:2017+A1:2023) and delivered directly to the rider’s door without retail intermediary markups. Our range is selected and specified for European riding and European law: pedelec tuning to the 250 W / 25 km h limit, lighting and reflectors to EU requirements, and models chosen for the cobbled streets of Brussels and Rome, the alpine gravel of Bavaria and Tyrol, and the cycle highways of the Netherlands and Denmark.
Zero Middleman Markups
Traditional bike brands sell through importers, regional distributors and franchised dealers, and each layer adds margin. We sell Aipas e-bikes direct to riders and ship them from our own EU logistics hubs in Frankfurt and Rotterdam.
By removing regional distributor layers, showroom floor commissions, and franchised retail margins, every euro you invest goes directly into superior structural materials, hydraulic disc brakes, and larger battery capacities.

Battery packs use high-density 21700 lithium cells with thermal management and BMS overcharge protection. The cell manufacturer for a specific model is stated on that product’s page and on its declaration of conformity.
Cycle life and capacity retention figures for each pack are given in that model’s specification, as published by its manufacturer.

With stock held in Germany and the Netherlands, your bike and genuine replacement parts reach your doorstep in 2 to 4 business days. The carrier for your shipment is named in your dispatch email with its tracking number.
All 27 EU member states receive direct intra-community delivery with 0% customs duties, zero import tariffs, and inclusive European VAT.

🔬 Precision Engineering & European Testing Standards
Every model we place on the EU market is type-tested and certified to EN 15194, the harmonised European standard for electrically power assisted cycles, with frame and fork testing to EN ISO 4210. Certification is carried out by the notified testing bodies engaged for each model; the declaration of conformity and test certificate for any bike we sell are available on request from [email protected].
Every bike is inspected at our EU hub before dispatch, and each one ships with its CE marking, its declaration of conformity and a full assembly manual in your language. Anything that arrives damaged or incomplete is replaced at our cost.
